Salvia Trip Experience #1

Dose: 1/8 gram or less
Last week I purchased a live Salvia plant at my local herbalist store, Scarlet Sage Herb Co. I had gone in to get a spray bottle and I noticed when I walked in that near the door they had about 8 salvia plants. I asked if there was anything that they could tell me about growing my plant. They told me that it was tough to take care of. Not to be easily swayed I bought the plant anyways.
As I walked home with my new plant closely held to my chest to keep the wind from harming it. Many people commented on it as I walked by. "Nice Plant" one woman said as I passed her on Valencia street. All I could do was smile. I had been looking for a live plant for over 2 years if not longer and today I found one 4 blocks from my apartment.
The next day I purchased a new pot for her and a sticky yellow card to collect any flys, mites, and spiders that it would attract. I sprayed some insecticide on the plant to clear whatever it had brought with it from the nursery. It has been almost a week since I bought the plant and she seems to be adapting to her new home quite well.
Being curious about the effects of my new plant I decided to purchase some extract. I was up up at Haight street I could not help help myself. I walked into distractions and went down to there glass section and found that they had a reasonable price 5x salvia extract. I purchased this along with some rolling papers and a blimpy. I got home that night and could not wait to try it. I was very hesitant and almost did not take it, but since it was right there and I had a "sitter" I decide that tonight would be the night. I changed into my pajamas, I light some incense and candles. I put on some meditation music on my headphones. I loaded the small bubbler pipe with about 1/8 of a gram of the leaves. Sparked the butane lighter to get a hotter flame and started to inhale. I noticed that some smoke was coming out my nose, so I inhaled even deeper. I held my breath as long as I could and then sat my head back onto a pillow. I instantly started to fall into my bed and to my surprise it was working. My dimly light room started to do a Mobius transformation, everything was tessellated with diamonds and my room was an electronic jungle canopy. I had seen this before in Alex Grey's artwork so it was not a surprise to me. I felt the heat of the jungle floor, a weight to the air. A warm embrace. Since time seemed to stand still I thought I would ask my "sitter" how long it had been since I inhaled. The question was tough to form and in the darkened room I didn't see a face, but a stone on the floor of the jungle talking to me.Two minutes had passed. I decided to close my eyes and let if wash off of me. And as quick as it started it had all gone back to my normal conscience. I was a little sweaty and a little foggy for about 15 minutes, but after about 30 minutes I was right back on top. Just as advertised. I expected to have that lingering high, like smoking pot. But there was none.
That night my dreams were as vivid as ever, unlike when I smoke pot I don't remember my dreams.
